On this land bathed in golden sunlight, a campus rises elegantly across Hainan’s vibrant soil. It ingeniously reconciles limited land resources with striking vertical architecture, while embodying a profound understanding of the local tropical climate.

Like a visionary creator, it infuses life into every inch of ground. With its terraced form, the design softens visual intensity, allowing architecture and nature to dwell in perfect harmony.

Lush green roof gardens breathe fresh vitality into the urban landscape, offering students and educators a tranquil sanctuary for the mind and soul.

This is not merely the ultimate utilization of space, but a heartfelt dedication to inspiring educational environments. Every design gesture embodies reverence and aspiration for knowledge and growth.

An ingenious layout of the main entrance and campus circulation

The main entrance serves as a vital link connecting the campus to the urban roadway, as well as a prominent showcase of its identity.

In this project, the planned road on the south side is thoughtfully utilized to house the main entrance, leading directly to the grand campus steps. This arrangement greatly enhances accessibility while imbuing the campus with a distinct sense of ceremony.

Leading directly to the elevated ground floor on the second level, the grand steps achieve seamless pedestrian‑vehicle separation, while ensuring smooth and intuitive circulation throughout the campus.

Climate‑Responsive Design Strategies

Given Hainan’s intense solar radiation, horizontal sunshades are integrated into the building facades to effectively reduce heat gain from direct sunlight. The large canopy at the main entrance offers shade for teachers and students, and the elevated ground floors provide sheltered recreational areas for children. These solutions greatly enhance campus comfort, demonstrating a profound understanding and thoughtful adaptation to the local tropical climate.

Innovative Facade Expression

The facades feature a minimalist light‑gray palette, with horizontal sunshade lines defining the architectural scale and rhythm. The angular building forms produce varied light and shadow effects under sunlight, while the unified color scheme avoids monotony. On the central axis, the comprehensive building facing the main entrance is adorned with scattered colored aluminum frames, forming a memorable architectural icon.
