Description
The design of the East Lake Greenway Landscape City won the “2016 UN Human Settlements Environment Demonstration Project”, which is located in Wuhan. On the entire greenway of the landscape reconstruction of the East Lake in Wuhan, different nodes are set up in different locations, including viewing platforms and overpasses. Squares, eagle stations, sports fields, etc., people and vehicles are completely diverted. The Sakura Square of Wuhan University has introduced the campus to the shore of the lake in the form of a street plaza, making better use of the resources of the East Lake. In addition, the garden bridge over the mountain is also worth mentioning. The bridge is full of colors. The flowers make the bridge and the broken mountain very well integrated.
Wuhan University’s green belt introduces the concept of functional belts, which separates the pedestrian belts, rest belts, facility belts and bicycles with different functions. The logic is clear and closely combined with the surrounding community environment, and the elegant scales are used to highlight the scent. The green belt adds 2.5m wide bicycle lanes throughout the journey, allowing visitors or citizens to walk along the lakeshore through the Rainbow Bridge with ecological water purification and the modern aquatic exhibition hall.
